The medical examiner’s office is asking the public for help in identifying a man killed by the 21 Hayes Muni bus on March 25th.
Around 10:45am that morning, the man reportedly stepped out from between two parked cars on Hayes between Fillmore and Webster Streets, and was struck by the inbound bus. He was pronounced dead a half hour later at San Francisco General Hospital.
The victim had no form of ID on him, and thus far the medical examiner’s office has been unable to determine his identity. SF Appeal cites the medical examiner’s office as describing the victim as:
“a Hispanic man in his late 30s to early 40s. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a distinctive white “Dark star” T-shirt; loose, parachute-type pants; and white Puma tennis shoes with orange stripes on them.”
If you have any information about the victim, you’re encouraged to call the medical examiner’s office at (415) 553-1424.
