We’re talkin’ deer heads, koi fish, pop brownies, a big soccer match, real estate, discarded food, and oh yeah, the Art Walk — all that and more in today’s leftovers.

We’ll say it one last time — tonight’s the big night: the Lower Haight Holiday Art Walk!
Along with music, art, street food and discounts throughout the neighborhood, don’t miss the ever-popular scavenger hunt, back by popular demand. Get some friends together and scour the Lower Haight for visual clues, and you might just walk home with $100 cash. There’s still plenty of time to sign up, so click here for more info.

Last weekend, artist Jeremy Fish (of pink bunny fame) installed a new holiday display in the windows of Upper Playground. Let’s just say it involves taxidermy and sweatshirts. Go check it out.

In other local artist news, this week the Bold Italic spent a few hours with Jeremy Novy, the artist behind all the koi stencils that pepper the neighborhood. If you’re a fan of street art, it’s definitely worth a read.

While we’re on the topic of the Bold Italic, this week they ran a great profile of Dick Vivian, owner of Rooky Ricardo’s Records. Dick will also be DJing tomorrow night at T.B.I.’s Winter Formal. So, Dick’s having a big week!

Tomorrow night, Underground SF (424 Haight) hosts Pop Brownie: A Night of 90s Joints. The event promises “the best 90s R&B and hip hop jams for all you ho ho hos,” plus some holiday classics added to the mix. It’s 10pm to 2am, and cover is $5, although it’s free before 10:30pm.

Hey soccer a.k.a. football fans: tomorrow (Saturday) at 1pm, Mad Dog in the Fog will be airing “El Clásico“, a match-up between Real Madrid and Barcelona. If Wikipedia is to be believed (always a big if), it’s the most-watched non-final club match in the world. So, you might want to get there early.

Finally, our favorite discovery this week: a Lower Haight resident named Roger has a blog chronicling food that has fallen on the street. Appetizing, no — but fascinating nonetheless.
