One of our strangest headlines ever, yes. But true.
On Sunday at noon, actor-turned-author Chad Michael Murray will be gracing our neck of the woods for a book signing at Comix Experience (305 Divisadero).
Now, he has apparently put his heartthrobbery on hold just long enough to co-author a graphic novel entitled Everlast.
As Amazon.com tells it:
“A pre-apocalyptic tale, Everlast follows Derek Everlast, a man whose destiny in life is guiding others to a place of rebirth for mankind called Haven. Following an instinct called the Nudge, bestowed on him by a higher power, Derek is guided to the next chosen human destined to survive, a little girl named Melissa. In a harrowing adventure, he must deliver her safely to Haven before the End of Days. Everlast tells a story of choice, love, friendship, and, most of all, survival. Will you be chosen?”
[Dude totally stole my idea. -Ed.]
Of course, 2011 has been a year full of star power here in our little slice of heaven, what with appearances by Kate Bosworth, Emily Blunt and Jason Segel, Mayor Ed Lee, Daniel Handler (a.k.a. Lemony Snicket), Danny Glover (twice!), and Anthony Bourdain.
Who might be next? James Van Der Beek? The mind races…
