Early yesterday morning, Love Haight Computers (473A Haight) was broken into and robbed of more than a dozen computers, according to owner Azam Khan.

As Khan posted on the Lower Haight Google group yesterday:

“They broke the back door and stole about 15 computers. Luckily none of them were customers’, and I have insurance to cover that.”

Khan also expressed surprise about the response (or lack thereof) to the store’s alarm.

“…[P]olice didnt show up for 50 minutes to be exact. I got a call from the ADT alarm company at 2:12am… The socking factor is that nobody called police, even though there was a VERY LOUD alarm and they kicked open the door to break the door blocked by a thick wooden bar. There must have been a lot of noise.”

If by some chance they happen to catch these folks, we’ll let you know. In the meantime, be vigilant out there, huh neighbors?
