There are lots of good reasons to dine at Uva Enoteca tonight: the great thin-crust pizzas, the hearty boar ragu, one of the best happy hours in town — but now you can add the extreme generosity to the list.
That’s because Uva is devoting 50% of tonight’s sales to the tenants displaced by the September 27th fire at Haight and Fillmore.
The restaurant at 568 Haight Street will be adding tonight’s proceeds to the more than $12,000 raised so far through both online and offline donations. The funds will soon be distributed to tenants of 493 Haight Street who lost their homes — and, in many cases, possessions — in the blaze.
Uva is open for dinner tonight from 5pm to 11pm. You can make a reservation via Open Table, or call 415-829-2024. And if you’re unable to make it to Uva tonight, but would still like to contribute, visit the Haight and Fillmore Fire Fund webpage.
