This Saturday, the 400 block of Haight Street will be the site of a giant sidewalk sale to raise money for the tenants displaced by last month’s fire at Haight and Fillmore.
From 11am to 3pm, expect to find great deals on plenty of items like clothing, housewares, and knickknacks donated by your neighbors. Got something you’d like to contribute to the cause? Bring it down that morning, and the organizers (the Lower Haight Merchants and Neighbors Association) will happily sell it for you. Everything that doesn’t sell by the end of the day will be taken to Goodwill or Out of the Closet.
Along with the sale, there will be live music and street food to keep you entertained, so this should be a pretty fun scene. That’s this Saturday, October 29th, from 11am to 3pm. We’ll update with any more details later this week.
