Pop-Up Dessert Shop Coming to Lower Haight Sunday

And now for something completely different!

This Sunday, a pop-up dessert shop called Street Sweets will be setting up somewhere in the Lower Haight, bringing chocolates, ice cream, cookies and more to our largely sweets-deprived neck of the woods.

Street Sweets is a collaboration of three different vendors:

  • Jilli Ice Cream & Soda – a duo of Lower Haight residents who make raw milk ice cream and home-brewed sodas:
  • Nosh This – another Lower Haighter who makes salted caramels, bacon brittle, and other chocolate covered delights:
  • Eat the Love – purveyor of baked goods like pies and cookies (including the ones pictured above)

Street Sweets will be in full effect on Sunday from 1pm to 6pm, or until they sell out. They’re keeping the exact location of this underground “sweeteasy” a secret until tomorrow though. (“Underground” in the figurative sense, mind you — they’ll actually be outside.)

To be notified of where they’ll be setting up, you can sign up on their website. Or, just wander the neighborhood Sunday in search of desserts. That’s how we usually spend our Sundays, anyway.

Update: Street Sweets has announced their location: 29-33 Germania St. Also, they’ll be pledging 10% of the proceeds from the Lower Haight pop-up to benefit victims of last week’s fire. Pretty sweet!
