There are so many Lower Haight-related events in the next week or so, we had to roll them up into one post.

TODAY, SEPTEMBER 13

Fell and Oak Street Bike Lanes – Community Meeting
From 6:30pm to 8pm at the San Francisco Day School, 350 Masonic Ave at Golden Gate.

Want separated bike lanes on Fell and Oak Streets between Scott and Baker? Attend tonight’s meeting, which won’t be the last, “but it is by far the most important.” Check out this Facebook event page for more info.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14

Haighteration & Blockboard Happy Hour
From 5pm to 7pm at Mad Dog in the Fog, 530 Haight Street

Come mingle with your neighbors over some free beer, courtesy of Blockboard. The first 100 slots sold out pretty quickly, so we’ll be opening up 50 more at 3pm today (Tuesday)! Register on Eventbrite to get in, then make sure you install the Blockboard app to get free beer. Don’t have an iPhone? Don’t worry — you’ll be able to earn yourself some free beer by answering a few Lower Haight trivia questions. A good time shall be had by all — don’t miss it!

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 15

Lower Haight Merchants and Neighbors Association – General Meeting
From 7pm to 8:30pm at the Peacock Lounge, 552 Haight Street

The Lower Haight Merchants and Neighbors Association holds its bi-monthly general meeting, and you’re invited! Drop by the Peacock Lounge to discuss issues like neighborhood safety, transportation, , and whatever’s on your mind. Plus, meet some neighbors, and enjoy a cash bar courtesy of Peacock. RSVP and get more info on the meeting’s event page.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16

Haight Street 2-Way Conversion – Public Hearing
Starting at 10am at City Hall, Room 416

The Sustainable Streets Division of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency will hold a public hearing to discuss the proposal to open Haight Street to 2-way traffic between Octavia and Market Streets. If you’re a resident or merchant on Haight or Page, a frequent rush-hour rider on the 6 or 71, a commuter who drives through the area on a regular basis, or a pedestrian concerned about your Gough-crossin’ safety, this hearing’s for you. More info here.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 17

14th Annual Duboce Park Tag Sale
9am to 2pm at Duboce Park

Come find treasures, meet neighbors, and support your local park! Proceeds from the annual event are used for improvements to Duboce Park — specifically, this year, the Youth Play Area. Donations for the tag sale will be accepted at a rental truck parked in Duboce Park from 5:30-7pm tonight through Friday and on Saturday morning. More info here.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20

Duboce Park Landmark District – Community Workshop
7pm at CPMC’s Gazebo Meeting Room

Have a strong feeling one way or the other about whether Duboce Park should be named a landmark district? Then attend this community workshop, which is described as your chance to “provide input on the unique character of the district and how to best protect that character.” More info here.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 22

124-128 Fillmore S.R.O. – Planning Department Hearing
12pm at City Hall, Room 400

The proposed S.R.O. at 124-128 Fillmore faces a hearing before the Planning Department. The project aims to convert 3 four-bedroom flats into one 15-room residential hotel, but has met resistance from concerned neighbors and lacks support from the planning department. This hearing will determine what happens with the project, so if you have an opinion, this is your chance to voice it. You can find out more about the project here.

District 5 Mayoral Candidates Forum
7pm at UCSF’s Cole Hall, 513 Parnassus

No fewer than 11 neighborhood groups have banded together to sponsor this mayoral forum, expected to focus on issues of concern to our neck of the woods. The event will be moderated by Carolyn Tyler, Anchor/Reporter ABC7/KGO TV. Doors open at 6:30, and the forum (which is free) starts at 7pm.
