Somewhere in the neighborhood there’s a QR Code that’s “LOOKING 4 A ROOM.” Can you help?
We spotted a couple of these flyers on Haight Street this week. They feature very little text and a very large code. Naturally, our curiosity was piqued.
QR codes, for the record, are basically fancy barcodes. You can scan them with your smart mobile device and decode them using any number of free apps. That is, if you want to put in that much effort.
We did, and here’s what we found. Turns out this flyer links to a craigslist ad in which a 23-year-old male announces he’s seeking a room somewhere near the 22 Muni line.
We’ve gotta give the guy credit for the novel approach, but we wonder whether limiting himself to QR-savvy tenants is an effective strategy or not. Do people really use these things?
Regardless, if you have a room for this guy, get in touch. And feel free to tell him Haighteration sent ya.
