It takes a special kind of coward to do what this person did, assuming he or she did what it looks like he or she did.

Some time between about 8pm Saturday night and 7:30am Sunday morning, the black Nissan Altima pictured above was struck by another vehicle while resting in a parking spot on Waller near the corner of Webster.

The Nissan’s owner — who wishes to remain anonymous, so we’ll just call her… oh… how about Debbie — tells us that when she discovered the damage on Sunday, she also encountered a puzzling clue.

“My car had a BLANK piece of paper left under the windshield, which leads me to believe that someone saw them hit my car or they think someone saw them and so the driver or possible passenger decided to leave a PRETEND note.”

Wow. Weak.

Debbie says that the offending vehicle left white paint on her car, but otherwise she has no information about who may have done this. She filed a police report though, so if you saw anything or know what happened, you can call the SFPD’s anonymous tip line at (415) 885-5187, or text a tip to 847411.
