The thing about bullies is, if you don’t stand up to them, they win.
The particular bully or bullies we’re referring to splattered the Lower Haight mural at Haight and Laguna with blue and yellow paint last weekend. That’s dozens of people’s hard work, hours and hours of community effort, more or less ruined.
So what do we do about it? Nothing?
Of course not.
Join your neighbors in standing up for the Lower Haight tomorrow (Sunday), and help restore the mural to its original glory.
Starting at 11am, folks will be out in full force scrubbing the unwanted paint from the mural and showing the bullies who’s boss. There’ll be music, drinks from Kate’s Kitchen, food from Wing Wings, and amazing weather. Soapy water and brushes will be provided — all you have to do is show up.
