Want to learn the tricks of the street art trade from local stenciling star Jeremy Novy? Here’s your chance.
D-Structure brings word that Novy, the artist behind all those koi stencils which adorn sidewalks throughout the Lower Haight, will be leading a class on stencil making at 1AM Studio in SoMa beginning in August.
According to D-Structure, the class will be offered on the first Saturday of each month, August through November.
“Participants can expect to learn how to properly use Xacto blades, how to start a stencil, and spray paint techniques. Supplies will be provided in class and [the class] is welcome to all artists ages 14 and up.
