Over the past few weeks, a team of visiting artists has painted a new mural on the side of Lower Haters at Steiner and Haight, replacing one that had been at the location for over 4 years.

As owner Janice Myint tells us, “we decided it was time for an update.” So they had European artists Galo, Ottograph, and 2051 paint the mural while in town for their recent Massive Nuts show, with additional contributions from other muralists.

Here’s a close-up of each artist’s work.

We hear that Lower Haters is exploring turning the parking spaces in front of the mural into a parklet. Combined with the mural, which they expect will change every few months, this stretch of Steiner could turn into a pretty cool destination. We’ll keep you posted.
