Here’s a quick update on a story we posted on Thursday about the “Docs of the Bay” food truck, which is hoping to set up shop on the 300 block of Divisadero.
With some neighbors having created a petition voicing opposition to the truck, and a lot of misinformation circulating, Docs owner Zak Silverman will be at The Page tonight to chat with neighbors and address their concerns.
In a comment on our original story, Silverman already clarified a few key points:
- Regarding the Divis location, “we intend to sell there no more than one time per week.”
- “It is very unlikely that we will ever be in service past 1AM.”
- “We do not intend to unduly compete with existing brick and mortar businesses.”
Zak will be at The Page at 5pm tonight, and says he’s happy to chat with any neighbors or merchants who have additional questions or concerns about the truck, or who just want to meet him. If you go, let us know your impressions, yes?
Update: Check out a profile of Docs of the Bay that’s just been posted over at SFWeekly.
