Lots going on in the neighborhood this weekend, as usual!

Here’s your weekly rundown.

  • Tonight at D-Structure, check out the opening of “The Shallow Space” — works and installations by Alec Huxley. The First Friday event will include giveaways and raffles, free wine for the first 100 guests, specialty cocktails and craft beer, and more. That D-Structure, 520 Haight St, from 8pm to midnight.
  • Of course every D-Structure party needs an afterparty, and tonight’s will be at Nickies, with tunes courtesy of DJs Dion Decibels and The Whooligan. The free event is slated for 10pm to 2am at Nickies, 466 Haight St.
  • Also tonight, don’t miss the Noise Pop-Up Shop’s latest incarnation, the All Shook Down Pop-Up Party, presented by SF Weekly. There’ll be a free performance by Richie Cunning and Blackbird Blackbird, plus free music and swag giveaways, and All Shook Down writers and editors in attendance. That’s tonight from 6pm to 10pm at 248 Fillmore St.
  • On Saturday, head to Mad Dog in the Fog for a scavenger hunt presented by CLASH — the California League of Adult Scavenger Hunters. Clash is the world’s first scavenger hunt league with 50 players meeting in a different SF neighborhood each Saturday night. Meet at the bar, mingle for a bit, then head out with your team to get your scavenging on. The fun starts at Mad Dog, 530 Haight St, at 9pm.
  • Another night, another Noise Pop-Up, and Saturday’s is “A Night with San Franpsycho,” featuring a DJ set, art, and a 5-minute fashion show. Plus you’re invited to make your own t-shirts and check out some vintage Playboy art while sipping on Pabst Blue Ribbon (naturally). Again, 6pm to 10pm at 248 Fillmore St.
  • On Sunday at the Divisadero Farmers Market, register for the first-ever event of the Urban Eating League. Organized by the Wigg Party, the U.E.L. will be a monthly progressive dinner featuring delicious, locally sourced meals hosted by multiple neighborhood homes. Participants will judge the meals (and the guests), and just have good old-fashioned fun. To register, organize a team of three eaters, come up with a name, and find Morgan from the Wigg Party at the farmer’s market (he’ll be wearing a wig). More info here. The farmer’s market is in effect from 10am to 2pm.
  • Finally, make sure to check out the latest Fifty24SF show by artist INSA (the guy who painted the latest mural on the side of the Oak Fair Market, as well as on a narrow strip of plywood on Haight between Steiner and Pierce). INSA’s show, dubbed “MORE,” features 9 new works exploring themes of “aspiration and expectation, wants versus needs, and happiness versus success.” The show opened Thursday, and will be at 218 Fillmore now through February 28th.

All these events and more can be found over on our haighteration calendar, so be sure to check it early and often!
