For weeks now, you may have noticed folks toiling away inside 518 Haight St., the former home of Bistro St. Germain, which closed in December.
Today, we can finally reveal that the new occupant will be a restaurant called…. Greenburger’s!
Greenburger’s is a labor of love from husband and wife team Matthew Nudelman and Stefanie Greenberg Nudelman. Matt (a chef) and Stefanie (a businesswoman) have been planning the restaurant for more than 2 years, although they say they’ve both dreamed about the opportunity since childhood.
Although details on the menu are still being worked out, Matt and Stefanie say it will draw inspiration from Matt’s hometown of Buffalo, NY, and will include plenty of other regional American dishes.
Greenburger’s will, in their words, “use sustainably-sourced, local products to create classic fare done Matt’s way.”
And rest assured, carnivores — there will be plenty of meat on the menu.
More details will be released as the opening approacheth. They’re still hard at work on renovating the space, so they’re not quite sure when Greenburger’s will be opening, other than “soon.”
We’ll keep you posted as more details develop!
