Remember that scene in Avatar, when the neighborhood blog appears to leap off the screen, and Sigourney Weaver prances around inside it?

Well no, that didn’t happen… but it’s about to! And you get to be Sigourney!

One week from tonight, please join us as Haighteration takes physical form with a one-night-only pop-up shop experience, Haighteration in 3D!

The good folks at Noise Pop have given us the chance to curate one night of their month-long Noise Pop-Up Shop on Fillmore, building up to the annual Noise Pop Festival which hits SF later this month.

For our night, next Wednesday, we’ll be decking out the tiny 248 Fillmore gallery space with stories, photos, interactive items, and a few surprises. Come on in, learn about the ‘hood, catch up on your favorite Haighteration stories, chat with neighbors, leave a comment, take a poll — you know, like the blog, but room-shaped!

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!

If that’s not enough, we’ll be serving up a limited number of fantastic BBQ bites from Memphis Minnie’s (menu details t.b.a.), as well as Kalifornia Kolsch golden ale courtesy of Magnolia Pub, thus uniting the Upper and Lower Haights in a culinary détente!

Also, music from Pandora! (The audio streaming service, not the planet — we’re on a budget here.)

Speaking of budget, this event is gonna cost you all of zero dollars. Consider it our valentine to you, Haighteration reader, for being so loveable.

So, mark your calendar:

Wednesday, February 16th
6pm – 10pm
248 Fillmore Street

And if you’re so inclined, go RSVP over on the Facebook event page, and help spread the word.

See you Wednesday!
