The wraps are finally off of new mediterranean restaurant Palmyra, at Haight and Pierce, and though the doors are still locked, it looks as though that’s going to change.
Like, today.
We took a quick peek through the windows today and noticed a lot of bustle inside. Several employees were doing what looked like last-minute pre-opening tasks. We also spotted dozens of chickens on a rotisserie, which says to us that an opening is imminent.
The interior layout is much like the Burger Joint space before it, with the large round booths, although they’ve understandably ditched much of the neo-retro diner vibe. (Apologies if “neo-retro” isn’t a word — it just felt right.)
We also spotted a menu, captured in the awful photo below, featuring the aforementioned rotisserie chickens, plus appetizers, salads, and a slate of wraps and sandwiches that each will apparently cost a mere $4.95, if our eyes don’t deceive us. There’s also a mention of delivery and catering options.
We’ll let you know when the doors are officially open — almost definitely soon!
Update 1/26/2011: Yep, it’s open!
