In minor ornithological news (yeah, we Googled it), a large hawk was spotted in Duboce Park yesterday, delighting folks as they waited for Muni to arrive, but angering the local population of lesser birds.
Disturbingly, the hawk (pictured above) settled in a tree near the playground, which led several nearby birds to vocally question his intentions. A rather protracted squawk-fest ensued.
We’ll keep our eye on this and any other slightly uncommon animal intruder stories, as it’s a holiday week, and the news is gonna be slow.
