If you’ve got little rugrats home from school over the next couple of weeks, and you’re not sure what to do with them, consider the Winter Wonderfarm, a seasonal day camp at Hayes Valley Farm.
The camp aims to teach kids ages 3 to 13 about community/farming through activities and topics including: “Stewardship, Art, Plants, Soil, Worms, Service-Learning, Hands-on projects, Farm Harvested Snacks, Fun in Community, Yoga, and Song.” (Had no idea kids were doing yoga these days, but glad to know they’re still into worms. -ed.)
The costs range from $75 per half-day course to $400 for a full 3-day enrollment — a small price to pay for your peace and quiet your kids’ enrichment.
There are two sessions available — today (oops) through December 23rd, and December 27th through December 30th.
