Call off the search party — the koi have returned to Haight Street.
On Thursday we told you about how the koi fish had suddenly vanished from their flat steel pond outside D-Structure. Well, our frowns turned upside-down yesterday afternoon, when D-Structure alerted us to the kois’ return.
Apparently the artist, Jeremy Novy, heard about our anguish, grabbed his stencils, and leapt into action.
Now, much like the sea lions to Pier 39, the koi have returned home — and apparently they’ve brought three new friends.
Welcome back, little guys. Please don’t ever leave us again.
