Lots of events going on in the neighborhood this weekend!

Here’s a taste.

- Tonight from 7-10pm, head to Lower Haters Gallery (597 Haight) for an opening reception for the Halloween-themed “Monstars.” The art show will feature “a myriad of Kaiju monsters in physical form as well as art and photography.” Artists include LiLJAPAN, Lamour Supreme, Paul Kaiju, LASH & Gatchbert, and Toy Bot Studio.

- Tonight’s also the private launch of The Scuttlefish at Revolver (136 Fillmore). The aquatic-themed pop-up shop officially opens to the public tomorrow, and runs through November 27th.

- On Saturday morning, don’t forget to swing by the Lower Haight Mural Priming Party. Meet at Haight and Laguna at 10am, bring some music if you’d like, and they’ll supply the rest.

- Also at 10am on Saturday, if you like to sketch, check out the SketchCrawl meetup at Duboce Park Cafe. It’s a global drawing marathon — an event when folks in different cities take a day to journal and draw the environment around them, then share their sketches with each other and the wider world. Anyone can participate, “be it to draw for 20 minutes or the full day.” More details here.

- On both Saturday and Sunday, from 11am to 2:45pm, check out the 7th Annual San Francisco Trolley Dances. Starting at Duboce Park, a tour guide will take you and other audience members on board the N Judah. As the train heads outbound, you’ll “disembark at different stops to see some of the Bay Area’s most acclaimed dance companies perform outdoor, site-specific work.” It’s free with your $2 Muni fare, and each tour takes an hour and a half. More info here.

- On Saturday, D-Structure (520 Haight) throws a $5 t-shirt sale. 30 different styles of clearance and sale tees will be marked down to just five smackers, from noon to 8pm.

- On Sunday, from 4-7pm, head to Caffe Trieste (on Market at Gough) for Gorilla Pete’s One Year Anniversary Party. There will be drink and food specials, and live music starting around 4:30pm. Also, kids are welcome. More details here.

- And finally, on Saturday at 4:30pm and Sunday at 5pm, there are a couple of baseball games you might be interested in. No doubt places like Nickies, Danny Coyle’s, and Mad Dog in the Fog will be a-hoppin.’
