If you’re an artist or designer, here are a couple of chances to have your work showcased in the neighborhood this month.
First, Cafe International is setting up a Day of the Dead Altar for your post-Halloween remembrances, and they’re calling on artists to “submit [12" by 12"] piece or pieces of art honoring those that have past before us..your relatives, lovers, loved ones.”
OK, so it sounds like it’s not so much a contest as an open invitation. Submissions can be dropped off at Cafe International by October 23rd, and the show will open November 2nd.
Next, D-Structure is having a t-shirt design contest:
We want to see what you can do––whether it be illustration, photography, or graphic design. We want you to create something that connects you to DStructure and show us what you can bring to our table!
Submissions will be accepted until October 15th, after which there will be a week-long voting period, followed by prizes and glory. Get more details here.
