You know what’s great to drink on a warm summer night? A nice cold glass of wine. You know what’s not great to drink? Pesticides. If you agree with us on both counts, have we got an event for you!
Tonight, everyone’s favorite wine bar and restaurant Uva Enoteca will be pouring 24 special wines, as well as two flights of natural whites and reds, as part of San Francisco Natural Wine Week.
The event is a city-wide celebration of so-called “natural” wine — a term that even the week’s organizers have trouble defining. But basically it means farming without pesticides, fermenting grapes with native yeasts, and using few if any additives. You know, natural stuff.
Tonight’s wine event at Uva runs from 5-11pm, and while reservations aren’t required, they’re a good idea, since Uva will also be having their regular dinner service. Which is awesome, by the way.
So, if you’re debating whether you should check this one out, we just have to say, “wine not?”
That’s one of our top five favorite puns right there. You’re welcome.
