Here’s a roundup of a few Lower Haight news stories that didn’t quite make it to the front page this week.
- The folks at Hayes Valley Farm are working on greater public outreach after last week’s shocking bee massacre. As such, this Sunday from 10am till noon they’ll be hosting Honey Bee Basics, an introductory class on honey bees and hives.
- A new (well, a few months old) delivery service called Shorty’s Delivery is now serving most of the Lower Haight. For $6 they’ll bring basically anything in the L.H./Divisadero/NOPA/Western Addition areas to your door, via bike. Anyone tried them out?
- Tomorrow afternoon, from 2-4:30, Monika Trobits from the SF Museum and Historical Society will be leading a free walking tour of the Lower Haight. Dubbed “Victorians and Landmarks“, the tour starts at Duboce Park near Noe, and will focus on architectural history (duh).
- And finally, a Lower Haight eatery that we can’t name is working on something cool which is kind of hush-hush but we hope to be able to tell you about it very, very soon– so stay tuned!
