Here’s a roundup of a few Lower Haight news stories that didn’t quite make it to the front page this week.

The Examiner reports on an attempted armed robbery on the 600 block of Page Street Wednesday night. A 23-year-old, pellet gun-wielding male suspect tried to mug a 29-year-old woman. “The victim refused, fled, notified police and the pellet gun bandit was caught.”

A night earlier, another 29-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint by two attackers on Rose and Laguna. To our knowledge, no arrests have been made.

Tonight at Danny Coyle’s, meet Tottenham Spurs legend (and World Cup winner with Argentina in ’78) Ossie Ardiles, as he chats with fans in a pre-season event. RSVP via DC’s Facebook page to make sure you get in.

On Tuesday we told you about how RNM’s chef apparently doesn’t intend to return to the restaurant. Yesterday, SFGate’s Inside Scoop blog confirmed with Miner that RNM is officially dead. The space will be on the market soon.

On Saturday night, Swankety Swank (289 Divisadero) hosts a CD release party for SF duo Heart of Orion (Danielle Kerley and Ty Oz). The event runs from 6-9pm, with a suggested donation of $5.

And finally, in not-quite-Lower-Haight not-quite-news, if you like El Castillito burritos, you might want to shop at Safeway. A reader found this tasty coupon on the back of his Safeway receipt.
