Revolver hosts not one but TWO art openings tonight!
Half of tonight’s fun focuses on “Twilight of the Kali Yuga,” a collection of paintings by Sonya Genel. Genel’s art explores the human body and how our emotions manifest themselves physically. (Not surprisingly, Genel is also a yoga instructor at the Yoga Garden on Divis!)
For photography aficionados, Revolver also presents “Going Over Home,” an exhibition of works by photog Marin McCallen. Run-down motels, rusted pickup trucks, and lonely western landscapes comprise this set of snaps taken during McCallen’s many roadtrips home.
The event is from 7-9pm at Revolver (136 Fillmore), and if their past shindigs are any guide, you can probably expect drinks and music too. The shows run through August 20th.
