Here’s a special Friday joke we just wrote for you.
What’s the difference between a hootenanny and a hoedown? Tomorrow night there’s a hootenanny at Cafe International, but every night there’s a hoedown in the Tenderloin.
That’s the kind of joke that’s better told out loud.
When you’re done guffawing, catch four folk music bands from Sacramento in a free showcase presented by the San Francisco Folk Music Club. (Did you know there was a San Francisco Folk Music Club?) The hootenannying starts at 7pm, and ends around 10:30 with a mass jam. Kinda like the traffic on the Octavia on-ramp! Hey-o!
