Another twist in the saga of Roland’s Bakery!
First, in March, the Lower Haight bakery abruptly closed.
After a little digging we discovered the reason (a dispute with the landlord), and learned that owners Jennifer Westmoreland and Philip Roland, along with a couple of new partners, would be moving to Hayes Valley and opening a new bakery called Terra.
Barely a month later, in late April, Terra Bakery and Cafe opened its doors.
And now, Eater SF reports that Roland and Westmoreland have decided to leave the partnership. No word on the reason.
But what about the bagels, you ask! Eater’s tipster claims that the bagel quality has suffered as a result of all this turmoil. We haven’t had a chance to verify yet, but if you have, let us know!
