On Tuesday, we were first to report that On the Corner would soon be turning into Panini.
But even we didn’t think it would be this fast.
Today, Haighteration reader Jeff R. tips us with this:
So I was walking down to the laundromat on Oak when I noticed that the door to the recently shut down On The Corner was open and there were tables with people at them. After depositing my laundry I went in. Seems pretty cool, just opened today and has almost the same layout as the old place. There are a few first day hiccups I guess- they don’t have their drip coffee set up yet and there is no menu yet, but I got an Americano and some people got some sandwiches so there ya go.
We’re (sadly) out of the neighborhood at the moment, so any further reader confirmation (or photos if you want extra points) would be appreciated!
Update 5/22/10: Twitter user @rockbandit sends us this pic from inside the new space:
Looks pretty nice!
