We’re not big fans of authoritative lists of this sort, but for what it’s worth, the Chronicle has just released its yearly list of the Top 100 Restaurants in the Bay Area, and the Lower Haight has once again been denied the love.
Aside from Nopalito (pictured), which is slightly west of Divisadero and thus barely outside the neighborhood, we got nada. No Indian Oven, no Uva Enoteca, no Thep Phanom… nothing.
Other nearby list-makers include Nopa, Zuni Cafe, and Bar Jules. Heck, even Chow made the list.
Yes, Chow.
So, what do you think? What Lower Haight restaurants make your top 100 list? Did the Chronicle get it right? Become a food editor for a day in the comments below.
