Now that the weather has finally turned spring-like (or, dare we say, summer-like?), we think it’s worth mentioning that Humphry Slocombe, the über-popular/eccentric Mission-based ice cream purveyor, recently set up shop inside the DeLessio Market on Broderick.
They’re currently slinging nearly a dozen flavors by the cup, cone, or pint, including such tantalizing creations as “Pepper-Mint-Chip” (that’s pepper and mint, not peppermint), Blue Bottle Vietnamese coffee, and that cornflake-and-Jim-Beam marvel, “Secret Breakfast.” Sure, we already have a great neighborhood ice cream shop in Three Twins, but hey, there’s nothing wrong with a little not-so-healthy competition.
